Need suggestions for oyster shell dispenser

I use the square self feeders for rabbits they hold about a coffee can full of shell and I use the same for my grit

Is it ok to place oyster shell with grit in the same container?

I put about 1 tbl directly into the feeder everyday.

My chickens would probably do okay without supplemental oyster shell, I do feed them laying pellets. So the oyster shell is really to make me feel good.

Yes I keep mine seperate too. I have two containers in each pen and they work great
