I think I'm about ready to start my search for two male akbash pups to train for poultry for our farm. I'm not ready to buy a pup tomorrow, but would like the names and contacts of some breeders within a reasonable drive who have or expect to have pregnant females soon. I think the earliest I could except the two pups would be about 6 weeks from now or longer.
I don't need or want registered as we'll have them neutered and they'll be working dogs. I JUST don't want a Pyranese mix. I want Akbash that are supposed to be better at staying with the flock and not wandering. So I can't see paying the high price of registered dogs.
Willing to drive four or five hours any direction from Dallas if necessary to pick them up.
They will have excellent care and vet care. We feed high quality dog food and value our animals.
