need to vent

We had a similair experience last February trying to get home from Flagstaff to the Verde Valley ahead of a storm. Lots of sliding cars and idiots who seem to think they've all got to get there before anybody else does. Took us nearly 9 hours to make the usual hour or so drive.

Glad you and your work truck made it home okay, domromer.

Ah my old home town. I just moved from Flagstaff. The problem thier is you get all the people from Phoenix in their Escaladses and they think with 4wheel drive they can drive 60. The problem is that they usually send you into the ditch as well!

I'd rather drive through 12" of AZ snow over 1" of snow in the NW. It's a whole different animal. Like a teflon egg pan.

No kidding LOL

My wife jumps out and gets into the bed of the pickup. The extra weight will help the wheels to get some traction.

I think you need to give your wife some kudos for getting in the open bed of a pickup, during snow flurries, to help you get traction!!

Personally I would have made chuck get back there and stayed inside, dry, with the heater on!

I remember those wicked storms and the stories! I live in Florida now. A week after I moved down here, we had a hurricane. The worst part was no tv and no COFFEE for 2 days!
