Need your help with making a chicken friendly law

"Guinea hens, pea fowl, geese, ducks, pheasant's, or turkeys" aren't breeds, each is a different species. Breeds are variations within a single species.

I'm not trying to be a jerk!Just if you're writing a law, you wanna make sure it's accurate.

Shame about your having to do that. Are you grandfathering in people who already have ducks/turkeys/etc, I hope?

Nope, there are no poultry laws. None what so ever.

I just see problems coming from this...
People are going to have to get rid of birds now..etc...

Have you never heard about being grandfathered in?
They can keep there hens, its just roo's who may become a problem. And thankfully there is only one family with two roosters, and there trying to get rid of the one.
Im not just diving into this like an idiot.
The other guy wanted to make a law saying Zero chickens allowed period...
So, that being said, do you have any advice to make this better?

But that is the problem, because there are no rules, we can do nothing about the people who are improperly keeping them.
Just relax, im trying to stay as chicken friendly as possible and thats why im also posting here. Im trying to do my job and the right thing along with it.
Now, do you have any input that I could use to try and make this easier for people? Or are you going to just keep complaining about the fact that I was asked to do this...

I'm not complaining at all.. Just trying to learn whats going on... because i live close by and my town could follow next..
HOw are folks keeping them improperly?? Whats are they doing?? Not fencing their yards??
Do you plan on having set number of birds allowed on property??

Yes yes, grandathering will be allowed as long as the animals are being kept accordingly, I already made sure of that ahead of time.
And haha thank you for pointing that out

im sure the wording will be fixed when its legalized, but ill re-word it now.

Yes, i agree..
OP... what schooling/degrees do you have to be writing laws for the people of Warren...
Just wondering.. because this law will affect a lot of people, so it needs to be correctly and carefully done...

Did you read what I wrote?...Like at all?
There is no limit, only on roosters, as long as they are kept accordingly.
Im not going to go into specifics, and unless you are having problems with people in your town I dont see why they would make any laws.
I will message you ok.

I dont see the point in removing an animal from someones loving home unless it is necessary.
Just rest assured that I made sure people would be grandfathered in.
Unlike most people, I care. Im just trying to make this friendly for everyone.
