I have my initial thoughts on what my restrictions mean and really don't want to go asking authorities for obivous reasons. I do not live inside city limits, I am on an acre and a half. We are allowed to have just about anything we want including a horse or a cow per acre. We don't have a HOA but we do have deed restrictions the developer filed with the county. It states we can not quarter fowl for the purpose of food or profit. I want 3 to 5 egg laying hens, no roosters, and I have no plans of ever eating the chickens. I plan on having them behind a 6 foot wood fence behind a large shed so they will never be seen. What do yall think, am I good to have "pet" chickens that just happen to lay eggs I eat?
Thanks for your thoughts.
