Boyd could you either post your mailing address or email it to me as I would like to send Ashley a card if that is ok.
Maybe we could all send her some so she can read these during her bordom.

Ok, today was the start of the 2nd of 5 cycles before radiation therapy. I am soooooooooooooooo frustrated today.

1st thing, they try to put my daughter into a cramped room with a gal who was hacking and weezing and not expected to make it through the night. The patient's advocate threw a bigger fit than I did, and we got her moved to a new room. Then the nurse was all snotty because she had to walk an extra 30 feet from her other rooms and was snarky. Oh well for her...

Then it took forever for them to order the Chemo up. That took 2 1/2 hours not the usual 1 hour.... only to find that they had no pumps available.... so we waited and waited and waited. Finally got a double pump (which is what we needed) and by the time I had to leave the hospital at 3:30 she still hadn't had her chemo started..... we got there at 9am because they told us they had a bed ready

The funny news though...... the food lady came in with her wireless stylis for ashley's food order.... she recommended the meat loaf................ Anybody who's ever spent time at Hurley in Flint (or knows the reputation) knows to avoid the meatloaf. I told her NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Feed her a cadaver first. The lady laughed and told me the food wasn't that bad. So I offered to buy her lunch if she'd try the meatloaf......

Good news is, I was right. She wanted to

I sure hope tomorrow goes better for both of you.

Its bad enough what Ashley is going through then to deal with the 'I don't care' attitudes of the employees at the hospital.

She will have patience when this is all done.

Boyd you better watch what you are beating, you may go broke buying lunches.
I have never found any hospital food that was worth eating.

I will get a card in the mail to Ashley to help cheer her up in the morning.
Hang in there.
