Greg Boyd has inspired some great thought processes - I met him at a Moral Govenment conference a couple of years ago. We will be sure to pray for you all tomorrow morning (as we have been every day!)
well we just got back from docs. The results from pathology were inconclusive so they sent the biopsy sample to U of M for their folks to look at it. If that one is inconclusive also then they are going to perform surgery. Got a look at the ct scan today tho and it's scary. The tumor in her chest is almost the size of her right lung and lays across the front of it, connected to the lung. The docs were surprised she doesn't have difficulty breathing its so huge.
The good news is that they may not have to cut into her lung to get another biopsy sample, they may be able to take a lymph node in her neck instead.... so we'll see. Thursday we got for a PET scan to see if the tumors are in any other organs in her body.
There shouldn't be any reason to go into her lung for a biopsy. Taking a lymph node from her neck should be ample enough and much easier to recover from. I'd put my foot down on that one Boyd and remain firm that they take one from her neck.
