Hey everyone! I'm Heather and I am new to the world of chickens and other fowl! I just got my first set and am so excited! I can't wait to grow my farm and I am needing anyone's advice on how to build a beautiful chicken coop and what materials i should be looking for! Also, I am wanting to buy some cheap hatching eggs for laying hens and a purple peacock pair....if anyone can help with any of this, please let me know! Thanks peeps :) (LOL get it?)

! Pleased to have you aboard! Below are a few links that address your questions. This is a lot of homework but will get you off to a good start. Good luck and enjoy your poultry!

First you must decide the type/style of coop you want to build. For that check out the Coops section below. The Coop Run Maintenance link is question & answer so you should pop in there as well for questions but reading the old threads is also informative. You will learn from these links the types of materials you will need.

For you hatching eggs below are links to explore. Warning: shipping eggs have a much lower hatch rate! If you can, go local by perhaps posting in your state's thread in the link below.

Or in the Buy-Sell-Trade section

Some of these Hatcheries sell hatching eggs:

Finally, here is a link to Peacock section:
