Needles for administering vaccine?

I wasn't sure if I should but this under "managing your flock" or here, but since it's concerning day olds, I figured this would be the best place. Mods feel free to move the post if you feel appropriate...

I'm looking for somewhere to buy needles to administer Marek's vaccine to my chicks when they hatch. I'm expecting them around April 1st, so I've got a couple weeks to acquire the necessary items. I received my vaccine in the mail but they did not sale needles where I ordered from.

Does anybody have any experience/advice for me who's vaccinated against Marek's in the past? Where did you buy your needles?

TSC sells needles, but they are not very small. I get mine from my Boss, he is diabetic. Haven't used any yet though. I don't vaccinate the day olds.

I can't hatch any until I figure out how to build a nice outdoor brooder. I think I have one figured out that would work though, thanks to some wonderful members that have out side brooders.

I don't have any experience yet with chickens but I think maybe you should ask your vet's office if you can get the needles from them. Tractor Supply here sells animal medical supplies and Geebo's in Lubbock did too, so your local farm supply store might also be able to help you.

I think I may have found needles to use!

A friend of mine who works for a medical supply distributor thinks they might be able to order a few for me. I've just got 1 more question...

Does anybody know what size needle you need to use? My friend asked me this and I said, "Really small." He said the smallest he thinks they carry is a size '27 gauge'? Does that make sense to anybody. He also mentioned that dentists use a size '32 gauge' for numbing gums and similar situations. The higher the number guage, the smaller the needle, apparently.

Does anybody have any advice?

You want insulin needles.

Would you happen to know what size that was? Or should I just ask my friend for that specifically?

I used size 20 insulin needles for injecting antibiotics for my parrot, I got them at Walmart with a prescription from my vet. The size depends on how large the actual solids in a vaccine are, not the size of the bird.

Just ask him for the 1cc diabetic needles. That's what I use. You can vaccinate 5 chicks per needle.
I buy mine at Walgreens.
