this is for people, not chickens. There are things one is sensitive to that the other is not.

Yes the WebMD site list risks for humans. However, it is humans that apply the Neem and also humans that eat the eggs.

I do not use it directly on my hens, I use olive oil on their legs when I neem oil the roost.

I use it, diluted with another oil like olive or canola (50/50) and put it directly on their skin. They have been external parasite free since I started doing this two years ago..

Has anyone used neem oil or tea tree oil for a fungal comb infection?

Tea tree oil is dangerous to use in chickens. The best treatment for a comb fungal infection (favus) is miconazole cream used daily.
