Instructions.
Things You'll Need:
Fresh chicken eggs, preferably from free-range, pastured hens.
An ice cube tray
Step
1Crack your eggs into a bowl. We will be using an ice cube tray to freeze in, which will hold 14 eggs.
Step
2Whisk them or beat them with an electric mixer until thoroughly combined. You can add salt, if desired.
Step
3Pour the eggs into your ice cube tray., dividing the egg mixture evenly into the 14 ice cubes.Place the tray into the freezer. Let freeze overnight.
Step
4When frozen, remove the eggs from the tray & place the frozen egg cubes into a plastic freezer bag or other airtight container.
Step
5To use: Remove the eggs from the bag & thaw the amount you need. One frozen egg cube equals one egg. Let eggs thaw completely in a bowl in the refrigerator prior to use. They can now be used to bake with or to eat scrambled, or in an omelet, or any other way you use eggs. They taste great. Now you can enjoy your chicken eggs even if your hens take a break!
