Neighbor hates my chickens- will she do them harm?

I'm sure the OP has long been carefully documenting any activity and reporting it as necessary....must have a novel by now!

:) Yes, book. One day. This post is still the only writing I have done since my mom died. But just about every day I get a story in my head and think maybe today I will write about my puppy Mimi. About how she was watching the ground, cocking her head back and forth. Definitely listening to something only she could hear. And then she pounced and split the lawn open in a flash. She dug with such force the dirt flew through the air! I expected a mouse or at the very least a tiny mole. Nope. It was a good size worm and she swallowed it whole!

New pine trees went up today! The only thing I heard was loud, maniacal, Crazy Lady laughter when I took care of the chickens today. I love the trees. They remind me of the tortured pine trees next to the ocean. Trees that have withstood the beating of the wind and the poor sandy soil and survived. My twisted pine trees are about survival. :)

Warren Harding has begun to crow! He has a deeper voice than Spock. They crow together... like a duet. They seem to get along fine. But with 29 hens for the two of them, what is there to fight about?

This Saturday I am going to pick out four Nigerian Dwarf 4 -6 month old goats to be delivered the following week. I considered Nubians, they are very cute, but once my DH heard the noise they make when they scream he said, "Please don't do that to me." He once knocked the screeching smoke alarm off the ceiling and threw it in the freezer.... he is not a fan of really loud noises. So Nigerian Dwarfs it is!

Twisted pines.... and one columnar white pine.

Spock's feather's have grown in... he is back to being his grand self again! Warren is GIANT. But he seems to be a gentle guy. He is breeding and doing rooster things but has shown no aggression towards me at all. I hope it continues!

Sounds like things are getting better on your side of the fence. Thank goodness for you and your DH being so stalwart. I hope that eventually the lady next door will learn that there is a benefit from having chicken folks as neighbors. If it was your neighbor and I didn't have any chickens I'd be best buddies with you and barter labor or other goods for farm fresh eggs all week long. Stick to your guns lady, by Gods graces you'll be fine.

4 Nigerian Dwarf goats youngsters coming next Saturday! Can't wait!!! They are all about knee high. Two brother sister pairs... boys are fixed.

Names... to be announced. DH and I are still discussing. He is the one who named our new rooster "Warren Harding".... sigh.

The little girl on the chair is also one I picked. Her brother is the tri-colored little guy above. :) Can't wait until next Saturday!
