Neighbor hates my chickens- will she do them harm?

I'd write a quick note to Santa that you need a critter cam for the front of your place. You've been soooo good through all of this insanity.

I wouldn't be surprised if the driver of the white truck doesn't have some connection to your batty neighbor. It may be a relative, or someone else as malicious & vindictive as she is, and they believe her side of things. Especially since they turned around in her drive & gunned it by your house as they left.

Here's a few pictures of the damage. I can't figure it out! But I would have to say it probably was a vehicle that did this damage. Plus the noise was SO loud! I just can't figure out how both of the containers got damaged in a single hit! Looks like it was dragged..hard to tell but the corner is flat.
Plastic can shatter like that after a few seasons of cold and heat. I've seen plastic dog crates that will do that after a drop from arm height. It doesn't take too hard of a hit if it's at the right angle. The driver of the white truck may have hit your containers and come back to see what they had damaged, using your neighbor's drive as a convenient turning spot. I'm sure crazyneighbor is cheering for whoever did the damage though.

i agree with the heat thing. Last summer i was changing my rabbits water and brought it in the house. ( it was plastic ) here in maryland we get pretty good heat waves and cold spells and such. So when i accidentally dropped it on the floor is exploded into 8 pieces ;-;

We have vandals driving around w/ a bat hitting mailboxes, so I would think this was plain vandalism. Our recycling bin routinely gets hit by cars (I live on a dead end road w/ 7 houses, all elderly, so this is on purpose by someone). Anyway, we wait until the last minute to put out our trash and recycling bins because of this. Our mailbox was last struck about 5 years ago--brand new, it was--and I'll bet the vandal cracked his arm. It is a stout mailbox and can take a pretty good hit. Worth the extra we paid to get a good solid one.

Ugh we had some lady come to our farm to complain about our roo crowing all night. She literally was complaining about anything. Our roo only crows every once and awhile, and it really isnt that loud. And he only crows when he goes to roost, then he sleeps. Honestly some ppl are just... Ugh

Where I grew up, this was a problem. We put up a decoy mailbox filled with concrete. It got struck, we never got hit again and it appeared to have won the fight. Just a thought. Oh by the way, put you real one up about 2 feet behind it with a sign to warn the mailman.

I've also heard of putting a small mailbox inside a larger one and filling the void w/ concrete. Surprise.

Sounds like your neighbor is AWFUL! Got a trail cam laying around?
I too deal with crazy neighbors. Every time I leave the house I'm worried my girls (BO) have been chopped for dinner.
You might just have to grab the bull by the horns and set her straight one good time.

be careful with the concrete mailboxes. there are laws regarding what you can and cannot put up. it's in case a car crashes into your mailbox. if you fill your box with concrete and it goes through someone's window and kills them then you'll be at fault. so, just check with the laws before you do anything... remember, we have turned into a VERY litigious society. last thing you need is to get sued by the guy that hit your mailbox with a bat and broke his arm.
