Neighbor issue *Update! He let them out! post 19*

And I thought I was not being a good neighbor by not putting up with my strange neighbor. He's an educated professional but has social issues. He walks into our house without knocking. Once we had fried chicken and had put the leftover pieces in the
fridge. He came into the house, smelled the chicken, went to the fridge and helped himself. He looks in our windows, uses our
toilet when we aren't home (he leaves the lid up), knows where we hide our keys and uses whatever he wants out of our shop
uses our gas because he doesn't like to transport it in his vehicle, he sits at our table and will lift his shirt to pop his zits then
carefully examine what he scored on the end of his finger. Otherwise hes a good neighbor

Grrrrr. I would be FURIOUS!

Hopefully the trellising will keep him out.

Post your property with no tresspassing signs and file a police report. Tell him that these are your chickens and you have someone taking care of them when you are gone and he is to leave them alone. If you do not want a face to face confrontation send him a letter certified.

orchardview I would change the locks on my house and hide my keys elsewhere. Also lock everything up that I could. This guy should not be just walking into your house. It is called unlawful entry. If he enters your house again without your permission call the police and file a complaint.
Allowing him to continue to do it is asking for trouble.

enough is enough. call the police. my next door neighbor has a female husky who is NOT freindly. she will come into my yard and growel at us. so we end up going inside. she also poops (sorry) in my yard. and they know it. i have asked them a few times to keep their dog off my property, and for the most part they do, but the dog is still crapping in my yard. so i told them that the next time i see their dog crpping in my yard, i'm calling the police. whats worse, is tat they see her doing it and they don't even clean it up. so now i shovel it up and throw it towards their yard. when they go for walks, they NEVER leash the dog. we live in the city and their are leash laws. no one can walk past their house with their dogs cuz if theirs is out, she goes after the passing dog. i'm worried about what may happen when my chickens arrive and they go outside. i can't wait till the dog craps again. i WILL call the police.

Wow, hearing about all these neighbors is why I live where I do. I hope I never have to live anyshere i can't "mark" in my front yard! My wife thinks that is bizarre?

What does that do?

Oleander is highly poisionous - gorgeous, but deadly. I was kidding, but maybe planting some oleander along the fence would encourage him to stay away. My friend had to do that with her neighbor that was constantly peeking over the wall into their house.

Bad thing about oleander plants as i have found out with mine

when they start to flower their little pods that they get are filled with seeds and fluff... and if that blows into the chickens run they will most likely eat it...which would not be a good thing. luckly the one that i have is in the front yard away from the chickens. but i think we are planning to kill the plant then dig it out. sick of sweeping up fluff in springtime lol

oops i killed the thread

Has the neighbor stopped coming over and bugging your chickens yet?

Since we are home now it shouldn't be an issue. It's only ever been a problem when we have been gone. I think/hope my husband's talk will discourage any further problems.

I know, I know. He kept on telling me I needed to friend him because he had some political postings he wanted me to see (we do tend to see eye to eye on that sort of thing), so I felt that it would be rude not to add him. I probably won't block him completely, but I am going to try and figure out how to keep him from seeing any of my status updates.
