Neighbor problems... Getting rather frustrated. :(

you could turn the hose on her, it's what we used to do to the dogs when we were kids

If you wanted to be really evil, have someone concealed behind the house or something with a shotgun or a really big handgun. When the neighbor starts yelling, the gun shoud be fired a few times as though at a target - keep it hidden so that the neighbor can't get onto you about it. It's just someone shooting really close by, no association at all.

I agree she sounds like a SN! But sometimes when a sharp sound happens it wakes people up for a long time. One acre isn't really a buffer for sound which is why we moved to 10 honestly. I'm a very light sleeper and would wake up to five quick barks regardless of the length of bark. I'm glad you are training your dogs to not bark and not bark late at night. She must have a mental issue that you don't know about because it's not a normal reaction to nice neighbors.

That would be funny, but not sure how the law would react to that

Where I live they could care less as long as you're not jack lighting deer or firing off rounds excessively. But I never had neighbor issues so I am a bad one to ask. I had one neighbor.. It was the kids who lived at the end of the road that gave me problems till it was explained to them not to ride their quads through the soybean field that didn't belong to them.

Wow. I didn't know that anyone could be that disrespecful of others' property.

By the way, I was completely joking about the shotgun.

It would be hilarious, though...

Host late-night parades and dance parties and invite some elephants on to the property. Or better yet, have a neighborhood party and invite everyone but her; keep it going until 11 P.M. at least, band and all.

Your neighbor sounds like a bully , and most likely although you didn't say, likes to drink a bit ! these two things sometimes go hand in hand. I had a neighbor that drove my wife and I nuts we garden and she would do things like mow over flower beds pour oil on tomato plants. My wife was raised Amish, I was not and hate bully's . My wife stopped me every time I wanted to confront her. she made a liquor run to the store every night at 8:00 pm one night I heard my wife say in a whisper " Please get pulled over by the cops tonight" then I had an idea. I made up a sign it said " Please pull me over! I am drunk!" and at 7:30 pm the next night I taped it on her trunk just above her tag. As it turned out this was not her first D.U.I. her fifth in fact she got a year in jail and her license had already been taken away for life. To my wife and her Amish friends I am a hero for this, This Women was not going to stop drinking and driving until she got caught that last time eventually she would have been caught I just speed ed things up. So nonviolent ways are there to use all you need to do is think it through use your head to borrow an old saying "give them enough rope and they will hang themselves" When my neighbor got out of jail I was a bit nervous. But as it turned out she got ten years probation. Her probation officer saw me in my garden and we had a little talk, I told him what I had done and why . He loved it, turns out he is a gardener to and hates drunk drivers. Now he stop's by just to make sure my neighbor isn't up to her old mischief, and my wife being the kind hearted person she is drives her to the grocery store once a week and no liquor is allowed ! So Happy endings are possible.....

Oh yeah. They tried telling us they had permission from the land owner. I asked them who that was when they choked. His initials are what? lol

oh I did that one time, but not in any direction. Let loose a rock salt load at the ground nowhere towards them. Kids decided to have a party in the woods across from me. The boom boxes they brought were still thumping at 3am. 2 loud booms and I hollered shuddup. Music stopped and kids quit walking past our property

I'm sorry, but I disagree. Barking dogs after 9:00Pm is to late. You also kinda hint that sometimes it is up to 11:00 and later. On only one acre of land in the summer with everyones windows open you CAN hear thoses dogs barking, those peolpe are not night owls and may have to get up at 5:00AM. I think you should try harder to train your dogs not to bark at night, try a bark collar, it won't take long for the dogs to figure it out. Same with the chickens, granted I love my chickens, but if they were not my chickens and they were pooping all over the place and eating my plants and diging holes on my land, I would be upset too. What if your SN had a few pigs and they let them come into your yard and root and destroy your property, lets say at 3:00AM when you are trying to sleep, still OK? Sorry, but you see I have been listening to my neighbors dogs bark since 7:00AM on a Sunday morning while I am trying to read, I can hear them in my house, in my bedroom while I try to sleep. I have two dogs that I would never let bark so early, you see I always try to be considerate of MY neighbors. Hope you to can work a little harder to be considerate of each other, it makes for a better neighborhood.

All dogs bark but allow them to continue is not a good thing. My dog needed to be trained not to bark at the world, he's done really good now he lies down with his face sticking under the gate, only barking if someone goes up to the ramp. Of course a hostile neighbor constanly causing tension will increase barking in any dog, dogs can sence tension.

I am sorry but I agree, barking dogs at night can be a problem. I am not a night owl, asleep by 8 pm and up and 4am. It would bother me.

That said, we all have our burdens to bear. My neighbors make lots of noise after 9 pm. and with their snowmobiles and four wheelers.
I don't feel bad at all about my roosters crowing in the morning or snow blowing the drive at 5 am because I need to get to work.
