Neighbor threatening to "take out my roosters"

get yourself a pair of guinea fowl and THEN lets hear that guy complain. They are by far the loudest creatures I've ever owned and surprisingly enough... the neighbors don't mind... and I live on half an acre ;)
That's what I suggested.. a flock of guinea fowl and peafowl. Then we'll see if he thinks the roosters aren't so bad. :p

I'd be tempted the next time he comes to the fence to tell him you plan to open a rescue for injured and orphaned skunks because someone in the DNR suggested your property was perfect for it or a crematorium for roadkill and dead farm animals, but you love baby skunks so much.....

Everyone who is saying she should report this guy to the sheriff: You are absolutely right.

It will end the situation, hard and cold, similar to a couple rottweilers ending burglary attempts.
He'll probably never bother you again once the sherriff speaks to him.

Make this easier on yourself and end it now.

some people are so rude! I say if you have 20 acres that are yours to do with what you want, then do just that! I would tell him that if he doesn't quit being aggressive about it that you will start raising primarily roosters and keep them in a coop as close to his house as possible!! that'll teach him!

This is so true. Plus should the situation ever escalate where the police end up out there, when she tells them about the ongoing problem the first they will ask will be why were they not notified sooner.

Either way I wish the OP much luck with this situation. I hope he moves away. Then I will move in next door, have lots of ducks, chickens and goats and we can swap canning recipes over the fence.
