Neighbors chickens in coop all day! and it's hot - what to do?

Thank you all for the responses, I appreciate the ideas and feedback! I ended up just walking over and tried to be as non judgemental as possible and it seemed to go well. I explained about ventilation and ice cubes in the water etc. He mentioned that he did noticed that when he opened the door they fly out asap, I would too. He said he would talk to his wife about it when she returned tomorrow and I gave him this website as a place I go for helpful info.
