Neighbors dog got hit by a car

That's what I told him,but I can't do anything about it if he decides otherwise,it's not my dog!

Unfortunately, you are correct that all you can do is offer the advice regarding the fact that the dog needs medical care. If cost is an issue perhaps you can help him speak to the vet regarding payment options, etc that might make seeking the care the dog needs seem less overwhelming?

I'm sorry for your neighbor, but when you said head injuries from a car accident, and "completely still," that's pretty much the outcome I expected. How very sad to lose his beloved pet - it sounds like this man is going through a tough time in his life already.

So very sorry to hear that. I didn't think he would survive either being such a small breed of dog. He probably wasn't even visible to the driver which is why we never had our dogs without a leash or in an enclosed yard.

I haven't had a dog since 1-89 because I knew I could no longer afford any vet treatment and my health bills as well. I suffer mightily without a dog - so "love on," the neighbor dogs when I want to lift my spirits. I've had people offer me good dogs gratis but, getting the dog is the cheap part, the feed, care and health etc. is major dollars.
