Neighbors dog got one of my girls...

We all love are pets and we all should be responsible pet owners.....
The patience and proper approach you are using is the correct way...despite how you really feel like doing or have been suggested in doing....take pictures, keep a tab of money for your loss, continue to discuss the problem with the neighbor....do not go to the neighbors level of irresponsibility....keep it peaceful....allow them to walk a few feet in your shoes and you in theirs.....Educated people should be able to figure this problem out.....or tell them you are raising pet skunks as well and haven't de-smelled them yet.....so they might want to keep the dogs at home....or electrify the wood pile, electricity will follow the urine to the dog if he hits the wire.....
Good Luck....keep the communication lines open and resolve the problem jointly..........

Sorry for your loss. It is a shame that people don't take good care of their animals. We have a neighborhood stray that is always causing trouble.

Sorry for your loss. We have had a problem with loose dogs too. Hoepfully you have it all resolved before your new meat birds arrive!!

I feel really bad for dogs that have irresponsible owners.

I had a dog taken out of the neighborhood last year...... He wouldn't stop peeing on laundry hanging on the line.

I just had animal control pick up another dog last week that was bothering my chickens. I had talked to his owner several times, had the animal control officer talk to her once...... She just wouldn't listen.
