Neighbors Taunt Dying Girl

Funny... in the animal world, she would be put down for aggression. How many of you would have put up with equivilant behavior from a rooster? If this woman is getting some of what she gave, that's 100% a-ok with me.

I know it is easy to be angry but remember we don't know this woman's or her husband's story. It is very likely a bad one. I agree we need to pray for them as well. "Judge not" was put in the Bible for a reason. I am a foster parent and I know that the most abused kids tend to grow up to be very nasty adults. Or as I say to my children as often as possible to be careful because hurt children grow up to hurt children.

I'm sure she will deal with a LOT of consequences for her behavior but obviously she doesn't have the intellect to manage simple stress therefore attacking a child. When you add on the stress she is under with the whole world out to get her, it was bound to get ugly.

I didn't mean that you needed to but I'll give you another quote to get my point across... "Don't judge (criticize) a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes." Irregardless to the proverb, it is best to reserve judgement until you know the entire story. This in NO WAY says we shouldn't hold people accountable especially when the person being attacked is a vulnerable child and doubly so when you consider that child is dying... My point is that we might consider that news flashes don't give the whole story. It is good we have a court system that is designed to bring all the perspectives into view. Otherwise we'd be back to lynch mobs.

I agree with your quote-and try to live my life in that way. However, on the news she was asked WHY she was doing this. And she said, "Personal satisfaction." Who gets satisfaction from hurting a dying little girl? A very sick and soul-less human being, that is who. She had an opportunity right there to speak about "her mile in her shoes". She didnt try blaming her childhood, or blaming her mother/father for all her adult decisions- she said, "for personal satisfaction". If she has that much of a mental disorder, she should be institutionalized- and there are children in her home. That is not healthy. Being a foster parent yourself, you surely must realize somewhat of what her children must go through behind closed doors. Those are the children who will grow up with problems if there is no intervention. As for Kathleen, she will not have the opportunity to grow up, with problems or otherwise.

Nope..sorry. I still dont agree with you at all..
No matter what happens in someones childhood.. as an ADULT you need to be responsible for your actions towards others..
There is no excuse for their behavior towards that little girl and her dead mother... none.
Thats why the prisons are full today.. so many folks dont want to take any RESPONSIBILITY for their actions...
so no... not buying it. sorry.

I am also a foster parent, parent of a cancer survivor and parent of a Foster Daughter who's loosing her battle to hodgkins. What this lady did was inexcusable in my mind. I may be biased because I've watched so much suffering of kids via foster care or serious illness.

People like this need to be dropped off in Antarctica. I swear if the mean nasty people in this world all vanished at once we would not have an over population problem.

Go back and read my reply... I said she needs to be held accountable. I also said that there is a reason for the dysfunction. I'm guessing it is childhood issues or more pointedly sociopathic. I'll also go back to my original post where I said if we DON'T intervene before they grow up they will become like the woman in question. That is my main point, maybe I didn't express it well enough.

Thanks for the debate it is good to be able to have a discussion like this from time to time.
