Well Saturday (12th October) night she had another egg. Too tired and busy to think of setting it I decided I had to find a nest bowl - my ducks night time food dish was just right, so now the ducks are eating out of a cut off juice carton!
I really didnt think this would go well. I left the light on for a bit and sat and watched them. Boy pige was unmoved as always, he accepts everything. Isha spent a long time sitting on the edge of the bowl looking at her egg and rearranging the nesting material. Its now 3 days two eggs and sitting well. I really dont know how this is going to go long term but so far so good. I'll try and get a pic of her in her nest bowl.
Wish us all luck, I really dont want to be cleaning up broken eggs or squabs again.
