If you are able to get your hands on it, this is what I'd do: Cut it in half, so that you have 2 units that can be hooked together. It wouldn't be as top heavy, though if you did not cut it, you could always screw it to the wall. I'd also put something on the sides to give more privacy.
One thought that I have is to use old wooden drawers. They could easily be mounted between the studs in a coop to provide extra nest boxes. I envision making key hole slots on the side of the drawer so the drawer could be dropped into place, and removed later if flock size decreases. (does that ever happen?)
