Hi guys! I have a setting hen & I noticed today that there are a few broken eggs where she is sitting. I think they are getting broke b/c they are dropping new eggs on top of those already there and it's cracking the others. I also noticed a few flies on the nest today. My question is should I remove the eggs & put fresh shavings down and then put the eggs back or leave it be? I did manage to scrape out a broken shell & a little yolk with a stick but there is more under the eggs. I don't want to touch the eggs too much and run the risk of her leaving them b/c she has been sitting for about a week now. Also there are now 20 eggs & this will be our first time hatching; is that too many? I'm trying to get the ones up that are newly laid and aren't very close to all the ones piled up. Thank you!
