Nesting Boxes

How often do I need to clean out my nesting boxes if they look & smell clean and the eggs do as well?
I have 6 hens but only one of them has started laying (1 per day for the last 4weeks). I am using nesting pads that I purchased from My Favorite Chicken and I sprinkle dried herbs in each of the boxes once every week.

I do it as necessary, or when the coop gets cleaned. So roughly ever 3-6 weeks. I use barn lime in them to dry them out and discourage mites. Than I add fresh bedding.

I clean 'em twice a year.

I change nest bedding as needed, when there's a broken egg or straw just gets too thin.
Save the herbs for when cooking a chicken.
