nesting boxes

i have 3 nesting boxes for 12 chickens is that enough

I read somewhere that you should have one nesting box for every three hens......I think you'll be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to add one more.

And they will pick their favorite box, and a few hens will try and cram in together, or they will wait in line for this one box, while the others are empty....It's too funny!

It will be fine -- the "hens to boxes" ratios you'll hear can vary quite a bit, but you are at 4 hens/box and that is in that range.
