My first grader came home with a long stem red rose, and a home made necklace a boy had made for her. She said he gave the rose told her she was beautiful and then gave her the necklace. AWWW. When daddy comes home tonight he's gonna go all caveman!

Yeah, daddy not's going to be too happy for sure! LOL

I don't know why but John and I just don't celebrate Valentine's Day too much. I usually find something on my pillow when I go to bed so perhaps there's something there tonight but if not it's all good.

well valentines days is sad for me my grandpa died today11 years ago and today my 1.5 year old cousin was diegnosed with autism

Happy Anniversary Peep! I'm glad you can laugh about your DH's memory loss! Steve is very understanding of mine as well. I rarely forget something that has happened in the past though. My long term memory if fabulous. It's my short term memory that is shot. He is starting to catch up to me in that area though and that's not good!

Seth I doubt your Grandpa would want you to focus on the bad but I know how you feel. My Mom just passed on my son's 21st birthday. Don't know if his birthday will ever be the same to him but I know his grandma would want him to remember the good times with her if he does dwell on it.


Love the stories folks! Very cute. 1st graders have no fear. They will get awkward over time though.

John's aunt died on our 1st year anniversary, we shall always know when she died but we still celebrate our anniversary. It does take time though.
