Actually, this one has a fluff patterning a lot like the black split (no dot on the head) but some very dark mossy banding on the wings. The legs are heavily feathered, though. More feathered than the other marans. Out of the other two feather-feet babies, one has an almost idential feathering as the first, and the other has a light spot that is more brown-colored than silver.
I'm so confused. At this point, I'm mostly going on behavior and leg size.
Good news, though... one of the new babies earned a name. I haven't named any others until I know if they're roosters and after Lacey and I have decided who gets what. One wheaten/BW, though, sits like a girl and is sooo sweet and docile. Her name is now Sesame. She's a keeper. Lacey and I can fight over the other 21.
