Nevadans?

That's so sad. We got our new order of chicks three weeks ago and out of 50, 18 died. Something happened during shipment. But the hatchery is going to send a new shipment to replace the ones we lost.

So sorry! It's so hard to lose them but chicks are delicate and shipping is so hard on them!

Sound's good. I'll wait to decide what to bring since I like to bring something different and when I say what I'm bringing sometimes that seems to encourage a few folks to bring similar items. lol

Where are we thinking of having it? My house is in a good central spot, but it's sooooo tiny and soooo filled with chickens and seedlings that it's not even funny.

I was thinking we could have it here. Then people could see what they're getting into with the farmers market. I am certainly open to having it somewhere else though. The offer of your house is very sweet, and I can't wait to come see your place, but you have a lot going on this week already. The last thing I'd want to do is make things harder for you.

I like that idea. I'll work extra hard during the week to get the gardening done early (have to plant carrots in 2 more gardens) so we're free on Saturday.
No let's do it at your place. I wanna see where the Farmer's market will be.

Great then we can do it here on Saturday! Will noon or 1sh work for everyone? I figured everyone would need to be home in the evening to take care of animals and such. Feel free to invite anyone that you know doesn't check the boards regularly. I'll hop over to facebook and post it there once we're sure of a time.

Ooooh there will be plenty of opportunity for us to help each other this year! Don't worry! I have my kids to help, though, and a great husband. 1pm words good for us... gives me time to take care of a morning client, bully the kids into getting ready faster, take care of the farm, and get out of the house.

Speaking of getting out of the house, are there any other Earth Day devotees here? It's been a family tradition for 4 years now, and it's this Sunday. We learn something new every year we go.

Ouch 2 o'clock works better for us. We do our animal chores in the morning and then all we have left is a final safety and water check in the evening before bed. It will take us about 2 hours to get there so that doesn't leave much time for all our morning chores plus cooking and getting ready for the "party". Could we set it for a little later?

We haven't done anything with it since we moved to Reno. Not that my back could now anyway. Steve used to do a lot when he was a troop leader with his troop but his hips currently could not take some of the rigorous activities that they did back then. What activities do they do here in Reno?
