Nevadans?

Aubrey, it looks fab! I think you'll enjoy the chickens even more with a yard to enjoy too. And perfect bug control by having them surround the yard. That was always my idea to surround the garden with the chicken run.

Missy, I think the Tough Mudder goes on Sunday too. One of my daughters friends posted on facebook that they were doing it on Sunday. The ice part doesn't bother me as much as crawling through the pipe with water in and then the live wires hanging down. I heard that by the time you get to the live wires your so exhausted and mentally zoned that you don't even care!

Sheryl, the chickens are beautiful!

ALMOST COMPLETE!!!! just got a few odds n ends to do, then we have to install a pop door and another vent then we will have a backyard for ourselves! What you see here is where our future garden and lawn will be, hooray!

Also a friend gave us six sheets of this weird metal stuff for free and it really came in handy for fencing off the deck!

Really really REALLY excited. Mark is even gonna put an outlet in the coop so we can get rid of the extension cords. We're even thinking about putting up some spray insulation and plywood inside. It all coming together!
Very nice! BTW - weird metal stuff = expanded metal lath. Usually used for plaster or to hold mortar for bricks, etc.

I took a video of Leroy and a few members of the flock who like to follow him around. I hope you enjoy this.
Awesome - I did enjoy it!

That's when I decided I didn't want to train for it. The live wires. At least Russ doesn't have a pacemaker.
What - you're not afraid of a little electricity, are you?

Does anyone know about this...

I was linking to the BYC page about chicken ordinances on a new Facebook page I'm working on, and I just noticed that Reno's laws say roosters aren't allowed. The last time I checked this link, it said they were. Does anyone know why it changed on the site?

https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/reno-nevada-chicken-ordinance
that's in error then because I was just browsing the ordinances last week and Reno's have not changed. roosters are still allowed. there is a confusing site that lists las vegas and reno ordinances on the same page which can confuse people, so maybe someone looked at that.
We would love to but we're babysitting the kids. If I would have thought about it sooner we would have planned better and saved to go up for the night. I'm hoping that someday I'm in good enough shape to do it myself!

What day is your husband doing it? My kids are doing it on Saturday. I think there's only 2 girls in their group and all the guys are firefighters.
Here's a picture of my daughter and her family. Maybe you'll see her, their group is called The Donnar Party!
