Nevadans?

That's what I'm wondering ke_ben - somebody here should have snapped it up. Penturner?

Lessee, 600 regular eggs equals 1800 Serama eggs. I think I would have some extra space in there if anyone wanted to add a few of their own. But only a few. Say about 598 eggs worth lol.

We broke ground on the next two runs yesterday. All my nickles and pennies are going toward that or I would probably be tempted.

Have a great weekend all. I will be out shoveling, rain or shine.

Had a batch of eggs set to hatch on the 28th but had some issues with the bator and was lucky that I got any to hatch at all. My big problem is that only one hatched and the poor thing is soooo lonely. I have some stuffed animals and mirrors but it still isn't enough. I have been all over Craigslist for Las Vegas and also for St. George, Ut and haven't found anything. Even Jones feed is out of chicks for 2 wks. Have a friend that got new chicks from McMurray...2 wks ago! So...anybody have a couple of new chickies I could purchase or know of anyone willing to sell? Uno needs a buddy or two!

Sorry haven't been on for a while - computer took a dive (I'm using the library's computer) - but the most exciting thing is that the coop is just about done - many, many thanks to my dh & his best friend. I am going to caulk & touch up paint this evening & dh will put the roof on tomorrow!

So, Genny, tell my girls I'm comin' ta get them this weekend (if it works for you!)!

So far, the white is Meringue (sp? the white whipped eggs on top of pies) - Taylor, daughter, dreamed that was what she named her, so that's what she named her! Olivia is naming the 1/2 brown 1/2 grey hen, Sassy. My granddaughter is naming hers Flower - probably one of the grey ones. Mine will be the dark grey one, probably named Cabo or Splinter - Cabo 'cause, well, I love Cabo - and Splinter 'cause yesterday I got the biggest splinter in my finger while working on the coop! Good thing dh is an ER nurse & was able to dig it out (with much yelling from me!)

It's great to read about everyones adventures in chickenland!

In hindsight, Henrietta looked a little ragged compared to the great birds we've gotten from everybody else. She's looking a lot better these days though! I'm just happy she's still around, because her cohort isn't.
I'm starting to let them out to range around the backyard. "Herding" them back into the coop is exciting.

Take Care All!

HorseFeatherz here are the two BSLs I think would look good crossed with that roo:

This is the Siberian elm - this one was cut down 4 years ago. It's well over 20 feet now (the chair should give you some perspective):

Cute kid, too. She looks a lot like my cousin, Lilian Grace who was born earlier this year.

Soo....why does it look so wierd all of a sudden? It wasnt like this an hour ago. I hope it doesnt stay like this.
