Soo...how long does being broody last?![]()

In the case of my Silver Phoenix hen ( I have a few, but this one OMG) if she sees an egg, she's broody, if she thinks someone is going to lay an egg, she's broody. I let her hatch out eggs last month and she's broody AGAIN! Last time I let her hatch out Phoenix eggs and this time she has eggs from my other pens, plus 4 Phoenix that she inherited. The time they should be broody?? At least 21 days to hatch chicks, but a few days before to be sure. Then it depends on the eggs. If they don't all hatch at the same time, they usually just take care of the first few and leave the others, but some people have had them stay. I had one hide a nest last year and she came home with 18, another 15 another 13. They had to have set for a long time to get that many out.
