Nevadans?

Awesome! I'm so happy for you! Ok August 13th sounds good, hope to see everyone there then!

Ok, I know not everyone can make it but I can wish for it anyway.

We are having a get-together August 13th & August 27th at my house, so hopefully people can make one of them, perhaps we can work something out so Gaited Horse can make it too?

You're having 2 get-togethers for Nevada BYCers? Or are you having 2 get-togethers in general and also inviting us? I'm afraid I'm a little weird about meeting a bunch of new folks all at once. I already feel like I know you all and a few new people at a time I can handle but... Gosh I hate that my old shyness keeps rearing it's ugly head at this age! I should be over this by now!

DH and I would be happy to pick Tyler up in Fernley if his folks are ok with it. Our kids were always bringing home other teenagers when they were at home and they still bring friends home with them when they visit so I'm used to being "Mom" to an extended community.

BTW the credit for this thread going so strong for so long belongs to all of you out there! Otherwise I'd be talking to myself all day long.

I voted to have 2 get-togethers since there are so many people and we can meet more of us to work with everyone's schedules and have another get-together November 19th at the Livestock Event Center. This get-together is just for us here so no worries about having others there as well.

Ok, thanks! I feel silly for even asking. I don't know why I sometimes still get that "deer in the headlights" reaction to some social situations. I was horribly shy as a kid (ok until my mid-twenties) and sometimes it still rears its ugly head.

No worries here, that's for sure. It's hard to believe but I'm not one for huge crowds, even though I use to put together concerts for a few thousand people. So I just act myself and it all turns out well.

That's cause you are so easy to talk to! The reality is it's almost never a big deal but shyness doesn't have much to do with logic and reason. It really bugs me being so illogical about it after all this time cause I consider myself a very reasonable person about most things.

I'm thinking about reducing my flock to make room for the polish. I love them all so much though but my coop will be too full once everyone is full grown

plus genny has a bird that I've got my eye on very closely.

I've got that barred Cochin that I can't get attached to and the Cochins genny gave me are turning out to have really good feathering. And sunny if you find a chicken friendly place would you like gyp and mama back? I love them but I have to be real for a second. I have 16 chickens and a 7x4 coop. Obviously haven't really decided on anything but if I did I won't have to worry about it for a few months and also wouldn't get rid of any if no one here wanted them.

Sure, I'll take the girls back!

I may have to rehome them if I don't find a chicken friendly place but I'll deal with that possibility later.
