First day of work. Got pulled over by a cop because I was driving with only the running lights at 6:15 in the morning. With only a (nearly expired) learner's permit. Ticket: $256
The cop marching into Mom's workplace down the road and giving her a ticket too: Priceless.
I had to pay the fine for her lack of registration (And bald front tire) though since I was the one actually driving. >

Day one on the job! Money to my name: -$256.

That's about the size of my grow out pen but mine is made out of pallets....lacks the cuteness you have..and the fancy roof....a lot of work in that roof, I love it!

Thanks for the compliment on the coop. My DH wanted all new wood to build his first coop so he got what he wanted but now I want a bigger coop so I can have even more chickens.

Bella decided to sleep in the coop tonight with the rest of the ladies. I wonder what makes her tick? I love her free spirit. I'm one of those people who are very conservative and want people to live their life the way they want to without tons of rules all of the time. I like rules but not so many you can't even think. I do not judge very often that's for sure, I take people at full value until I get hurt. No matter how many times I get hurt I always believe in them first and learn later to stay away if I don't like how I'm treated, don't know if that makes sense but it's just the way I am. Do what you want how you want it but be nice to people and don't tell them what to do all of the time or they won't learn anything.

wow, sunny, whatta score! the shed looks awesome. I am actually incredibly jealous. I really would like to just have a big shed. Then the goats could have a sleeping area and the chickens could have a roosting area. JEALOUS!!!

So today my mom sent us an early christmas present. Elvis has claimed it as his!

its so cute. shes such a sweetheart. She knows we couldnt afford to replace the windows this summer so she sent us this heater to help. It was a QVC special, haha. Its really cute though. It has a pretty realistic flame that you can dim or brighten and the heating implement has a protector thingy around it that keeps the surfaces of the heater from getting hot in any way, so its safe to be around fabrics, walls, whatever. I have had the thing on for less than an hour and i am HOT. plus i have been feeling bad for elvis because its been so cold for him at night, and now i feel better about getting him through the winter.


oh yeah, and guess what? the babies got some new digs today too!

and when they get big enough to jump out, i have some extra hardware cloth that i can wrap around it. they seem happy

Aubrey that little electric heater/fireplace is soooo cute! We use an electric heater for the bedroom cause I'm too cheap to heat the whole house but it's not cute like yours.

Thank you for the new chick pics! They are sooo adorable!!! Cute idea for a brooder (well til they pop it).

JK, they probably won't pop it but it does make for a funny picture (to my warped mind anyway).

OK y'all asked for pics of the new dog so here goes... She is the lighter one (in color and weight). lol
