It always starts with just wanting a few.....
Genny you could've entered that pullet in the show. They don't know the difference between an EE and an Ameraucana. The last time I went they had EEs in a cage listed as "Blue Ameraucanas".

Well I have some blues too.........they are in the middle or just finishing up their molt. They are not as big of body as the blacks, but I still love them.
They are wonderful birds with HUGE personalities. If I had more room and money I would have a couple different bantam breeds.........EE bantams would be one
I have bantam cochins.
these are from last year also - they have molted and look better

An EE is a mutt chicken - characterized by a muff/beard, pea comb and generally laying a blue/green type egg. (this is because they have a blue egg color gene and a brown egg color gene)
This is one of my black EEs. Her father was an Ameraucana (close to an EE but they have two pure blue egg color genes) and her mother was Bazinga or one of Bazinga's 2 sisters (I incubated all eggs together). Orps carry two brown egg color genes.
Okay, Me and my DH just feel in love with the blue EE.
So is it possible then to get 1 of her siblings or babies or anything next spring? Sunny, I still want one of your FBCM's too. I am only allowed 2 new pullets next year so it must be good choices I make. I'm looking for a BLRW for Spring of 2013 since my last one ended up being a roo. I haven't decided what else I want for Spring of 2013 but I think it should be another special breed and not what I already have.
