You have the exact same layout as our bathroom, including the outlets and lightswitch! The only difference for us is our radiator vent is right below the lightswitch, where you have solid wall. And yes, our bathroom is just as small.

Do you have one of the old Reno Motel homes, by any chance?

LOL!!! I guess tiny is better anyway because there is less to clean, haha.

I do not know what the old motel homes are? Our house was built in 1953 and i think the story goes that back in that time people used to come to reno to get divorced so they built these track homes with two bedroom so divorcees could still live under the same roof or something. not 100% on that but the people who live across the street from us have the exact same layout

That's the same story as ours. We get walking tours that come by in the summer to see the old Reno Motel homes. I believe there are 9 left, out of an original 13 or 14.

Mine is from a collection that used to be on 4th street, in the area that is now really cruddy. It's is a 2-bedroom with a bay window, and a completely steel framework. The kitchen is basically a hallway to the outside, with a stove on one side and a sink on the other. Is yours? I hear that the ones from my collection are recognizable by the 2 bedrooms and the bay window. There are 3 more just across from Bibo's (the white and green ones) but last time I looked, I noticed that there are windows busted out of a few of them.

A few owners ago, ours got covered with stucco, and we have an addition on the back that I use as my massage office.

Aubrey, what a GREAT job! You must be SO proud! What a difference! I'm a bath girl, I'd soak in that tub and be so happy to look around at a great accomplishment!

We use hanging feeders. I only saw about a half dozen mice last year. then this year I started seeing them everywhere. I thought it was the garden we where growing that attracted then. But then found out my kids had stopped hanging the feeder

. Anyway we got traps and spent a couple months catching mice. lost count at around 45 mice caught. I know we still have some in my shop. Let's just say it is easier to prevent them than to eliminate them.

Thanks for the tips on the run! Jose and I started talking about it yesterday and then got interrupted by the munchkins and never finished our conversation! We are planning to keep the chickens in the coop at night but still want a secure run with something overhead for aerial predators. We are in Stead close to the Red Rock exit. We have quite a lot of hawks in the area for sure. I don't think that raccoons are a big problem here. I was offline yesterday so I have to finish reading the rest of yesterday's posts.

I stopped getting notifications for this thread. Hopefully it will kick in again. It still says i'm subscribed.

Never underestimate those raccoons. They have some sort of secret communication system, and once one finds out where the food is, they all know. Then they come out at night like ninjas, from places you never thought they could fit. Maybe a sewer drain, maybe in your attic or from underneath your neighbor's modular home. And you never know they were even there, as the koi start disappearing from your pond. You don't realize it's raccoons because you live right in the middle of downtown, or you have no trees around, or you think there's nothing on your property that they would want. Then one day your dog won't stop barking at 3am, and you realize that, this time, it ISN'T troublemakers trying to break into your yard. So you buy raccoon shot and sit and wait... but they're watching you, as well. When you finally give up and decide to get a good night's sleep, after a month's vigil, they come out again. Tag, you're it.

the coop is built with the threat from raccoons and other predators in mind. I will do the same for the run. Hopefully they won't come around and test it, but you never know. Aubrey has had very bad experiences with raccoons.
