Well, looks like Yours Truly is dusting off the 'bator and setting some eggs for the 3rd Annual New Year's Day Hatch & Contest. If the USPS plays nice, it'll be a dozen each Wheaten Marans and Salmon Faverolles**

Whereas there'll not be French Hens at Christmas, I'll settle for three of them at New Year's.

Got all my paperwork into the HOA for the 3-birds-as-pets coop now that the *main* objector to the chickens in the neighborhood has moved. (I'm almost humming "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" but for some reason "The 12 Days of Christmas" is overriding it). The one other naysaying person in the neighborhood was wishy-washy with "Well, I'll sign if I'm the only one who objects" and she was in cahoots with her former neighbor across the street....so I'll trot back up there with my petition to make everything street legal.

But if, per chance, this blows up in my face.... Well, hopefully somebody out there would be interested in rehoming some oo-la-la henlettes?

(**I like the fact that these breeds are easily to sex early on.)

Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven't been on lately, I ended up with some nasty bug the other day. Went to the clinic yesterday and she said I must stay in bed for 3 days or this won't pass for up to 8 weeks.

So, I'm home and resting tons!
