Nevadans?

My neighbor across the street has been losing her chickens to hawks or falcons, not sure which ones they are. She also lost 7 to raccoons ! I have big dogs in my yard so the wildlife havent bothered us yet.

A hawk can't take a full size chicken but yeah, that's a big worry just about everywhere. I don't ever let chicks outside uncovered.

Sunny, it was The art of racing in the rain. Not bad, good enough for when you're bored. No, actually pretty good. I dunno, Im not sure yet.

I'm always worried about hawks when spring comesand I've got mama hens out with babies. Can a big hawk take a banty?

I need some major fencing so the dogs can patrol everything! That would be awesome!

OMG Cecelia I just noticed your sig line!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Big hawks can take rabbits. I'd be concerned about them taking a banty.

I think I corrupted someone else. A friend from church is a real natural-health person, and she has a dog kennel in her backyard. I told her how easy and legal it is to raise chickens in Reno, so tomorrow she's going to ask her landlady if she can keep a few in the kennel. Since I might POSSIBLY have gone overboard with the chicken ordering I told her I could share a few resources with her. I just need to decide which ones I want to keep, because I want them ALL! Maybe enough will turn out to be roosters that I get to keep all of them and I can direct her to Green's Feed.

Red tailed hawks are barred on the wings and tails, and are fairly small in comparison? Kestrels are too, but are WAY small and they normally hunt other birds in the air.

Let me know when you decide.

I think you all missed my earlier post. Oh, I see what happened! For those that don't know who Cecelia is, go read gitlost80's sig line.
