Nevadans?

With regard to finding the white coop I coveted, I believe it was connected to someone's photos on a thread involving a Sept. chicken show in a neighborhood in vegas. If you can get me back to that thread, maybe I can find the shed. Thanks

oohh are you talking about the one that grows flowers on the roof?? that belongs to the lady who runs CLUCK, i forwarded you a newsletter from her and you probly went to look at her pictures... i think a friend of hers made that for her.... it's made from the white pvc fencing material... she's a really sweet lady and could give you all the info if you email her... i can forward that too you again if you need me to...
better yet, was this it??

she's sposed to get it hooked up to her drip irrigation system so it waters the plants when everything else in her garden gets water.. the woman is great.... i traded her 2 laying pullet BR for copies of 2 of her gardening in las vegas books.... i thought it was a pretty good deal...

Oh, I saw that coop in person.... There is NO ventilation in it! The only opening, besides a hinged side to gather eggs, is the floor hatch for hens to enter/exit. It is just a PVC box with one 9x9" square on the bottom open to the outside....and certain to be an oven when Summer kicks in. Can you say steamed chicken?

I mentioned that to the owner and she wasn't too pleased with my observation....kind of took the wind out of her innovation. HOWEVER, I'm sure if you're designing this easy-to-hose-out coop you could modify it to a more chicken-friendly design.

hmmm i didn't think to check ventilation on it when i looked at it... might be easy enough to add into it though...
the basic design is cute.. and i do like the pvc, except that i'm sure it would be expensive... but should last a long time... and a wood roof wouldn't hold up to watering those canvas flower bags....

hhmmmmm....

Seems like a pretty easy fix to me. A good drill with a bit for making holes would solve that problem really quickly. IMHO.

's NV thread. I love it when we get more peeps in the valley.

Thanks for finding it for me! I've been all over the web and can't remember anything so I'm really grateful. PVC/Wood/whatever - I think it is an adorable design and plan to copy it IF I can have 2 hens. Thanks for all your comments and feedback on her design, it gives me food for thought. Not its off to revisit the original site. Thanks again - you made my day. Diane

OK, I can't stand it. They are just too funny not to share. Any body know anything about Polish chicken? Any guesses as to gender on these babies?
