Penturner you are right, some will grow faster - I just wish I could *magically* make them taller/older and shadier.

Humbrd was very sweet to let me take him back though and her DH makes a dynamite raspberry, lemonade tea!!! It was delicious! Very sweet family, we enjoyed our visit very much.

The roo cooed to me all the way home and when we finally got here and he first saw the coop he was so happy! He started flapping his wings and squawking at the girls. It was too, too cute! Heather said he never really did adjust to the new flock like the silvers did, so I'm very happy to have him home.

Sunny Dawn yer story made me giggle.....I could see that roo doin' the Happy Dance!

We have 7 eggs in the incubator and 3 youngin's in the brooder tank....we may end up with more roos than hens, so if ya "misplace" a roo agin, jus holler

Today is Day 7 for the incubator eggs, and candling day too.
The darn temps have fluctuated so much that I'm anxious to see if we have viable embryos....or not.

I've relaxed about the "imperfect" situation and have resolved to let what be , be.

The granchickie spruced up the garden henhouse with "purdy" painted flowers on the hens summer layin' box.

Soon as she sees poo on her paint job she's sure to have a kanipshunfit

We duz beeleeve the hens like the cheery colors

yup, thats a pink plastic egg to match the lid.

Off to cause havoc in the coop.

This is the recomended tree list for the city of reno. The black locusts are poisonus, so if you want those, remember to keep them away from the animals. Technically its illegal to sell Populars in nevada, because they grow to fast, the roots run across the surface of the ground and the trees blow over easily. Personal Experience, The Russian Olives and Elms have always done well on our property. Fruit trees are nice, but they need loads of water to produce. We have a couple that are just babies. The slow growning trees would be Oaks and such. I think most of the locusts, like honey locusts, and arborvieties grow quickly. My mother knows more, you can call her at 775-677-4447, the phone is answered washoe tree. If a man answers its my dad, and dont tell him you know me. He'll get really suspicious about why im taking to adults, and more so why im online. We have other info packets, just ask a question and i'll know it. If anyone wants the scientific names of the trees listed say so and i'll put them up. It took awhile to type everything out as it is, so i left those out, but i'll gladly put them in.

Laceynoelle, thank you for posting that list. That's awesome! BTW I don't blame your Dad. He is just trying to keep his daughter safe from strangers (and boy, we are a strange bunch here). Seriously, he knows how easy it is for bad people to take advantage of kids on the internet and he loves you bunches and wants to keep you around for a long, long time! Be glad that you have a Dad that wants to protect you!

Youre all welcome, nd no, theyre russian olives. Idk wat the elms are, but my favorites grow by the river, and theyr chinese.
Sunny, im not glad at all. I can understand wantin me safe but he is completely insane. I havent gone to spend the night at anyones house in nearly four years. im 17 and dont have a drivers licence. I couldnt take pcs of penturners hens, even though my mother was going to be there. He is delusional. Everyone is out to get him. He is digging a freakin bomb shelter for the revolution he thinks is coming.
Has any one heard of bell palsy? I think my dog has it.
