I just had to do the Unsubscribe/Subscribe thing again! Had to read through 3 pages of posts.

Anyway, I've been selling my eggs for $3.50/dozen or $5.00/18 pack. I've only had one person squawk and I informed her that organic eggs sell for $5.00/dozen in the supermarket so mine were a bargain! She didn't buy any - said she doesn't buy organic eggs. Oh well, then you don't want mine.

I've got orders for more than I'm producing anyway, even though I'm pretty much getting at least 1 per bird per day!

Yes it is a numbers thing and I do get a little OCD about a lot of things related to numbers. Luckily my DH is very understanding about these weird quirks of mine.

I, too, used to obsess over numbers.... or, more specifically, equations. My favorite game was to take a set of random numbers and try to make a math equation out of them. Anyway, it got to the point that walking out the door I knew I would be grinding some number somehow somewhere along the line.

The cure? For a challenge (once or twice) I tried to figure out what the number was binary. Honest, your brain will cramp, you'll go "Echhh" and lose interest and lose counts of your 1's and 0's. It's a challenge and NOT fun.

Very rarely now does the numbers thing pop up for me, although I do find myself enjoying a good set of angles and memorizing supermarket prices.

Congrats on the twins! Does this mean you have to hatch out double the chicks for them to play with?

Hi everyone! I've been MIA - my neice from Louisiana is visiting & we have been doing the touristy thing. Today, we are going to Virginia City.

day 13 candle: of the fifteen out of thirty that i have left in the bator, seven have died and two are questionable. that leaves 6-8 that still have a week and lockdown to get through.

i hope they make it.

lol no, but i didnt sleep a wink. the ghost tour was cool too, she had one of those emf detectors and sometimes it would go nuts after she asked certain questions, it was bizarre!!!

I love a good ghost story.

BTW Ron, I couldn't resist checking a few tonight (day 6 & 1/2)! One had no development at all so I chucked it but the other seven I checked looked great! Well 1 was iffy but I left it, all the others had lots of vein development and I could see tiny embryos in 4 of them!

Even checked 2 of the newest layer's eggs (one of your am girls you sold me Genny) and her eggs look great! I thought she hadn't been laying long enough for them to be viable!
Ok, really trying to wait until day ten to candle them all and see who's hangin' in and which ones need to go. (I need a sitting on my hands smiley)

Aubrey good luck with the eggs that made it so far! I hope every one of them hatches out a super healthy chick!!!
