Lol he is doing much better with them, but we have also implemented the rule that Elvis can have run of he backyard while chickens are in coop, otherwise he only has supervised potty times. He's more of an indoor dog anyways so it's not like jail for him or anything. It not really even much of a change for him

Why are we the only one's on this late? My dogs are indoor but my hens still don't get to free range.I let my ducks out once while I watched them they wanted to go right back to their pen.

Mark and I don't really want to pen the girls up until we can afford to plant some shade trees. We have one bignone but it is not in a location that would be suitable for the run. Until then we will just have to be diligent with the dog. It will be easy when the weather cools down and all te doors are shut

My girls have a tree that over hangs their house. My ducks like the heat and the weird weather and my roosters have tons of shade under their house, I wish I could get a show girl roo. Are the Show Girls able to show in APA?

LOL - Guess I missed it Sunny, thank you very much and I love my nickname, people at work call me mom all the time perhaps because I'm always working with younguns? Right now I work with 1 teenager, 1 21 year old, 1 late 30's and 1 older than me. And non of them get tired of hearing about my chickens too!

Aubrey - I know Petey doesn't have that awful disease but it did worry me a bit knowing you were here and Sylvia with her chronic cold that she can't get rid of and none of the chickens ever got. It made me think for just a moment and then say - nope couldn't be or my flock would be sick too and no one is.

Anyways, sorry if people can't make it to the bar b que next month, I'm hoping we can meet up with most of the people on here in November.

I'm going to bed now so I can get up early and go off to work in the am.
