Nevadans?

Aubrey I think I picked up your addiction yesterday while you were here. I have been out to watch the chicks probably 100 times already today. This is the most laid back and content bunch of chicks I have ever seen. With this new setup I have for them outside I have not had to worry about anything so I think that is making it much more enjoyable as well. I was just curious if you were having the same experience with the little ones you took yesterday.

Yep sounds like you did! And yes I agree with you. These chicks are so mellow and unafraid of me. They are stinking adorable! I am constantly finding myself sitting out by the brooder just staring at them. My little red one gets to peeping sooooo loud until I pick her up and love her, then she passes right out!

He's acting like he's okay and he looks a lot better, but when I pick him up it's like picking up feathers and bones. Despite him having a full crop every night he is losing weight at an alarming rate. I can feel all of his bones

It will take him a while to recover from the trauma he's been through. As long as he is eating and drinking though he has a much better chance of making a full recovery.

Btw, I think I mentioned this before but I totally forgot until this morning that those Polish were St. Run not all pullets. In a couple of weeks we should have a good idea of how many pullets/males we have in the whole bunch and we can swap them around so you do not have to get stuck with any roosters if that is ok with you.
