Yesterday morning.
CT scan this morning and it shows that he has a slight pneumo thorax. That's why his chest has been hurting so much.

surgeon just came in to check on him. The pneumo thorax is about 40% so a general surgeon is coming in to insert a chest tube.

Last night
The chest tube didn't go in until several hours after it was determined he would need it. Grrrr. Upon insertion 500 cc's of bloody fluid splashed everywhere. Doctor's description, not mine. So lots of pressure was relieved and the lung was reinflated which helped with the chest pain somewhat. But now he's running a fever
This morning

When my Mom walked in the room this morning he was sitting up in a chair!! His fever is down and they're talking about taking out the IV. He's in a lot of pain and the chest tube is uncomfortable, but he ate 1/2 of a Yoplait. He's using his hands a lot more and his heart rate is finally normal.

The physical therapist is here to get him walking. The lower left lobe of his lung is trying to collapse again so he needs to get up and around.

Yes Aubrey, the trio sold within hours of posting them. I miss them terribly! I sure hope Petey puts on some weight again soon!

BTW, so nice to see other Trekkie fans on here. I wasn't hard-core for the original series but I really liked "The Next Generation".
