BTW I didn't mean to sound negative about your dreams Tyler! I was typing my post for so long I completely missed your post, so none of that was in response to what you wrote.

That's funny I did'nt even read what you said until I read the comment about that response. It's not my dream to become a star.
I'll explain what it's all about some other time.

I am off to bed I'm getting up at 4:50 to be ready to leave the house at 6:00 for the fair today. So i figure about 4 hours of sleep should be goo.
Night ya'll

Hello all! I'm new to raising chickens and just got my starter flock today. I'm very nervous about this endeavour, and I hope that I don't bother my rude neighbors. It's definitely a new challenge! Hopefully it all works out well.

I'm in Reno, NV.

What kinds of chickens are you starting out with?

The first batch of eggs wasn't a complete bust after all! I have 2 perfect little FBC marans babies hatched so far! I'm so glad I didn't get just one! It's a tough time of year to find little ones.

It's only 21.5 days so keeping my fingers crossed for another one or two to hatch!

Although the two that hatched came from the 2 darkest eggs in there! Talk about good luck!

this is a great place to learn. I will be getting chicks in Sept. We will be starting to build our coop soon. Hopefully your neighbors won't give you any trouble. We have a vacant house on one side and nice neighbors on the other. Haven't mentioned chickens to them yet, but I think they will be cool about it.

Hello Everyone,

I've tried posting in the appropriate section but I've had no replies. Can any of you help me...Im here in Las Vegas.

My 6 month old Delaware is normally a big eater. She's not been eating at all today. She's been drinking a lot more than normal though. Her stools are mostly runny and yellowish. She's very tired and doesn't really walk around much and when she does walk, she's very slow. Seems like she just wants to sleep. I don't think she's layed an egg for almost two days...she normally lays everyday and sometimes double yolks. I wondering if she egg bound...I soaked her in warm water for 20 mins. basicly until the water was getting cool. And now, I really don't know what else to do to help her. I felt her belly and I don't feel anything but then I have not a clue what I'm feeling for. I have 5 total chickens and she's the only one that seems to be not well. Thank you for reading and any ideas would help.

Thank you so much!
Arlene

everybody. No time to chat, sorry, just say I'm still around. (And I have a nickname, thanks Sunny!)

UrbanChickies , sorry about your Del. I would need more info, on the poop specifically, but I would say possibly worms or coccidiosis. It could be just overheated too. Good luck. My Dels are among my faves.

Have a great week all.
