OMG, me too! I love big band music! Great music to swing to (that's a dance folks! No not into the other!) and Hubby and I love to dance! I also like Doo-wop but some of my favorite music are the old torch songs that came out of the WWI & II era. Some are just plain silly, like "Cheek to Cheek" and "3 Little Fishies (Swam Over the Dam)" but most are "Torch Songs" like "At Last," which I have performed a lot (way before Beyonce remade it but she did a good job on it) and "I'll Be Seeing You". Great, great, songs but way before my time. In fact a lot of music that I like is before my parents time!

I asked my Dad once why so many great songs came out of such a sad era and he said it was because so many folks were separated from their loves ones that they needed the romantic songs to feel close to them and they needed the silly songs to distract them and lift them up a little. It seems like when we have it easy we get spoiled and it's reflected in our music.

Hi everyone! Sorry, I got busy at work today. I've read through and I see Tyler's little roo is sick. From the symptoms I'm reading it does not sound like worms to me but who knows for sure. I check everyone's droppings everyday to make sure bile isn't coming out and they are all pooping and so was Bella even when she was in the coop run hurt. None of them were swollen, this sounds like it could be a spider bite, perhaps a black widow? Bella's poo turned blue/green the next day and I had to force feed her. Instead of a tube I used a medicine dropper and it was much easier than tubing her.

I had Bella in the chicken yard yesterday afternoon with everyone. Had a bit of a skirmish with Sylvia one of my SLW and Bella going after her to get revenge and let her know she's still the boss. Luckily no injuries on either side. I lock Sylvia up when Bella is in there and then when I remove Bella I let Sylvia out. Finally after a few hours of this they got along. Bella went into the roost last night and claimed her spot again. I took her out later in the night so she would not try to get out of the coop and re-injure herself. She still has a limp so I don't want her using her leg too much but if she stays in the crate she won't eat like she does when she's with the flock free ranging. I just am not sure if she'll make it though we are trying very hard to help her.

I don't watch football much either but I do watch the Super Bowl because of the comercials. I worked the last 6 of them putting together our Super Bowl party with 7 big screens and TV's throughout the room and this year I most likely will be holding a Super Bowl party at my house for the family. They have someone host the party every year. I'll be wearing my Manning jersey!

Okay, I know Cheek to Cheek, and I might know I'll be seeing you, but youve got me on the other ones.

I dont know how to dance to any of it, so I just make it up. Its fun music, you have to dance.

I really love Celtic and Irish music too. And I think your dad it right about that, I mean, look at blues music. Its a great genre and a lot of the songs arent the best pick-me-ups, but theyre still really good.
Sheryl, awesome about Bella!! Considering how she was a week ago, I really think she's gonna make it.

And just to warn you, if you throw a Super bowl party like that this year, expect me there, I will be gate crashing. ^^

Wow - to have a former Raiderette at my house on Super Bowl day would be a blast and even someone who likes music too! What a fun time that would be!
