Thanks. I love having such a great group of Nevadans. I'm still trying to deicede if I'm gonna stay here after I move out.

I moved to LA at 15 from Reno because I thought i loved it there. Well I found my way back after high school, lol

Well I have you beat Ron! We are still building ours and we still need to move it into it's place without breaking it and they are all laying now.

So much to do and no time to do it all, oh and hubby is slow too but I love him and let him do what he wants when he wants then I push harder on him. I need my duck pond built before we get the ducks, do you think that will happen? I sure hope so.

It makes me so sad to hear that!

Yes Aubrey they are already talking about cancelling the Air Races but emotions are high right now. We will see what happens.

Elizabeth how scary for your friends! So glad they left early!

Ron you are very welcome. I never heard of that company before but they have been in business for awhile now. Should I order a small amount first to check freshness etc? I don't mind if the seed is not as clean as it could be. I'm only seeding a couple of acres to start and I don't have a drilling rig so it's not a big deal but I do care that the seed is good quality and free of musty odors.
I read all the stuff you linked to and it looks like Steve and I have quite a bit of prep to do before seeding. We do have some chainlink panels we can use to "rake" the soil with. It's already framed. Do I need to use additional weight on the panels or are the metal frames enough? Never done this before. Oh another article I found says that the Crested wheatgrass helps remove certain pesticide residues from the soil better than most plants! Another plus! Not that most of us live on lots that were used as farm land and heavily sprayed with pesticides but still good to know!

I really love that it is more fire resistant than many other plants. 2 neighbors of mine have had fires this last week! Boy, I've gone my whole life without seeing stuff like this and now 2 in 1 week! Kinda making me a little paranoid about fire now.

Sheryl I have to tell Steve that! He will feel so much better about how long it took him to get our first coop up. Although it never really did get completely finished, the chickens were settled in well before they started to lay.

Well I kind of hope they don't cancel them because I've never been and Mark and I planned on going this weekend for sure. We were gonna go today but I ended up having to work so we changed it to Sunday. It's something I've always wanted to see but I suppose it would be somewhat morbid (maybe just for me) to be somewhere where just the day before people died. Plane crashes are my biggest fear. I have nightmares about them monthly. I always see the plane going down. But there is never visual impact. There's always a hill or some trees in the way. I see it fall beyond these things, then I see an explosion and I wake up.
But I digress...

Elizabth I forgot to say congrats on your babies!!!

What is everyone up to on this slow Friday night?
I wanted to go to Stockton but I didn't have the money to go to the rabbit show.

Congrats Elizibeth on your babies. We need more pictures.
My Sphynx used to sleep on top of the brooders. He loved the heat lamp they had.
