Elizabeth, what a great job you're doing on your coop and your chicks.
So my neighbor's - the 3 single guys next door, says I should have a rooster and the rude people behind us needs to just keep their month shut! They said they can convince them but I know they can't, these guys are just so rude there's no way.
It's so strange seeing Monique without her tail. She's in a very nice molt right now. She hardly has any bare spots at all. Bella is really losing her feathers today. They just kept falling off all day long the poor thing. Sundae is in a nice molt but she's still laying eggs somewhat, the shells are so thin and I upped their protein to help them with their feathering. Sundae has had soft shells for a while now and I can't get them to stop, she's the only one, not sure what to do?
Her neck is almost out of feathers and it looks like she'll be turning into a polish soon
but I really must figure this out.
One of the things I learned while treating Bella is the egg white has 57% of the egg's protein and the yolk has 43% so if you are increasing protein then the white is what you want to use. I'm using both and I have egg shells by choice along with oyster shells by choice. I see Sundae eating them and I also added BOSS to their diet. I'm not going to buy Layer's feed again, I'm now moving back to Flock Raiser because it has a higher protein content.
Anyways, I need to go to bed now so I can get up early and get ready for work.
Enjoy your French studying, Tyler. I am fluent in Spanish. My sister won a trip to Paris in 2000 and I won her little lottery among her friends so I got to go with her. I took French at TMCC before I went. I had no problem with the grammar since there are similarities to Spanish but speaking and the accent was tough for me to pick up. I'm glad I had a little before we went but once we were there, Spanish kept coming out of my mouth! It was like my brain went into foreign language mode and automatically went for the Spanish. My sister had the same problem since she is also fluent in Spanish and took a short French course before. One morning at breakfast she said, "Gracias" to the waitress. I called her on and it and she hadn't noticed that she had been speaking Spanish. anyway, i would love to study more languages some time along the road of my life. I went to Norwegian camp as a child and would love to learn more of that, too.
aubrey, I got an email from ideal with a 99 cent bantam surprise special for this week. Maybe you'll want to order some more!
I got absolutely nothing done on the coop today but my kids had fun so it was worth it. My chicks are eating like pigs. Time to refill their food and water again. have a good night everyone!
Yes French is beautiful but since I only know Spanish (I'm far from fluent though) I have a very hard time with it. The pronunciations are so different. Now Italian seems very easy to me. There are many similarities with Spanish so it flows better. A friend of mine speaks French and she says that she can't seem to learn Spanish now. The pronunciations are so different it's tough to switch from Spanish to French and vise versa. Anyway Tyler learn as many different languages as you can, it comes in very handy expecially in today's world. It will help you in getting a job too. Well I'm not sure how much of a need there is for French in Northern Nevada but maybe you'll travel to other areas.
