Nevadans?

Sheryl, I can help you with some EE's. My husband may be working up in your area in the spring. I can send hatching eggs or chicks. I have a beautiful blue egg layer, some pink, some green and some brown, covered by my silver EE roo. I love when my customers open the egg carton and gasp and the artist pallet of eggs. Of course I need a dark brown layer myself...that's my next purchase in the spring.

Great! I want a green layer and I only do chicks/pullets, do you think you would have older than day olds? I'm thinking around the 4 month age or perhaps 3 months at the youngest. If I do have any day olds I'm hoping it would be around when one of mine become broody and I can sneak them in at night but that would be the only way for me to do it for now but one thing for sure, I can't have any roos.

This spring, I'll be selling straight run and any girls left at POL will be added to my layer girls because I'm still building that group. But we can talk again when someone goes broody around here and I'll let you know what's going on. Would love to be able to sex an EE early but it's a shot in the dark really, so I couldn't promise a pullet until much older then what you could throw under a broody. But we'll see.

Cool, I can't remember what you said you were ordering? More Polish? I thought I remembered 3 different breeds? How many are you getting?

Wcb, wcblue, red polish, frizzled Cochins, sultans, an buff silkies. Were working on our odd chicken farm!

Cochins are great. They are my favorite.

Yes I'm so excited about the shed! I already spoke to her. Sheryl a BCM this spring is no problem. They should be laying by then and I only want to keep the very darkest layers.

I have some EEs coming in spring too + Genny has a couple for me when we get the coop back up.

Here's a few chick photos.

This is the one that had the leg problems. She flew up on the brooder edge herself and is doing great now.

It's okay if I can get an older one that is sexed, there is no way my DH is going to have a roo. I had to give my last one away.

Sunny - I've known Dottie for years and she's a great person to know. I'm glad you were able to get her shed. I would love to be able to get one of your pullets once you know the color egg she's laying and you don't want her. I'm going to separate any pullets on the other side of the yard to make sure all is well with them. So either way with the EE is good with me, I like to make my DH happy.

I also was wondering if anyone needed me to do an egg train to/from Florida while I'm there. I'll be posting in the forum to see if I can help anyone.

Oh well. I need the shed more than I need more chickies right now.

OK Sheryl, I'll save a pullet for you. You can pick her up in spring after they start laying.
