Sorry everyone for this long piece but I told you I was going to go through everything to catch up with what I missed and answer some of the questions that were posted.

The last time Ron was on he said he needed to get everything winterized but he should have been back on by now, anything yet?

Have you checked them for mites or any external parasites? How is their weight? What does their droppings look like? The older ones most likely are done until Spring but the pullets should be laying still, not everyday but a few times a week.
Anything from Nikki yet?

I have 3 and they are more flighty and nervous, they do settle down a tad once they start laying and then they get back at being flighty and nervous again. Mine are 8 months old and I'm hoping once they reach 1 year old they'll be friendly but nothing so far except when Winnie went broody for a tad, she was extra nice and kept jumping onto my lap for pets.

I gave Bella a bath to get all that gunk that was all over her bottom when she went down and couldn't walk anymore. Speaking of her, she's no longer in with the flock. I'm calling her our resident chicken. She couldn't get her pecking order back and she couldn't stop them from attacking her. The little ones removed most of her feathers on her backside but now she's getting them all back. She just roams all around the yard and does what she pleases while everyone else is in the enclosed area of the yard.
