ng0176! That's a mighty fine lookin' roo ya got there. I'd love to take him (I have 4 BO gals) but I also have another Black Am roo that is very territorial and I'm afraid they'd fight. I'll try to talk myself into him though...

Yes, I am glad they called, there was another lady from Fernley picking up her chicks. Her chicks died last week from McMurray, due to the holiday, and she had had them shipped out to Fernley, this time she was picking them up at the Main plant, McMurray replaced those that died.

We have:
7 Buff Rocks
6 Light Brahmas
6 RIR
7 Barred Rocks

Adorable! That's too bad that the lady from Fernley lost her chicks due to a cruddy shipping schedule. Glad they were replaced.

I got my new hens! Elizabeth, it was so nice meeting you and Jose. Your kids are adorable. We put the girls in the coop with the others, where Original promptly showed them who was queen. Then Shawarma and another (I think Tom Kha Gai) started singing the egg song. I showed them the nesting boxes, so hopefully they figure them out before dropping eggs.

The new names are Shawarma (BO,) Tom Kha Gai (BR,) Cacciatore (Welsummer,) Tikka (SLW,) and Sweet and Sour (2 x BA.)

Sorry we can't take a rooster. Right now the girls are letting the neighbors know that they are all there! But welcome to the thread!

Hey NevadaRon,
Gooster does love his ladies. He had 3 hens, but my brother took them to add to his coop. His HOA is anti-BYC and he can't have the noise maker! Poor Goose lost his ladies. Anyhow, if you change your mind, he's a looker and I'm sure you could hatch some beautiful BO's with him.
I hand raised him from a chick. He's my boy and I'm sorry that those Germans wont let us bring him! LOL

Nice to meet you and your kids, too! Your daughter will love Shawarma. The BOs are the favorites with my kids. My kids were so funny. "Why did they take our chickens?" "I like chickens, but I don't like when people take our chickens." I sat in the coop while the chickens put themselves to bed. it looked like business as usual. The same group of 6 or 7 was down on the baby roosts. I thought they would take advantage and move up but so far they are not.

They are very welcome to come visit the chickens. Tonight, the new girls were up on the top roosts, and the old girls were still in the mini-run. Weirdos.

I know, right? Lol!

Elizabeth, Joe stayed in with the chickens for a few minutes since he was suddenly attached to them. Especially Tom Kha Gai, which is his as long as he can prove compassionate to them. I was in the house and Sahara ran in saying, "Come quick! Joe says the chickens keep fighting!" I had to explain several times that they do that... it was totally natural. I compared it to Shadow when she insisted on being queen dog over Oh'no and Tater, and they understood.

Does anyone know how to change the message signature? I need an update now.
